Grade VI Scheduled Care Manager will:
To provide management support within a function and to supervise assigned staff.
To ensure full implementation of the National Outpatient Services Performance Improvement Programme (OSPIP) and the NTPF IDPP Protocol, to coordinate all stakeholders in Cavan General Hospital and Monaghan Hospital to ensure targets are met for inpatient and outpatients, to act as an educational resource in relation to OSPIP and NTPF and to manage associated staff in both hospitals

The SCTP aims to ensure a whole system model of care approach thereby ensuring patients needing schedule/planned care will receive the right care in the right place, at the right time. The Programme aims to ensure clinical and cost-effective care delivery through high-reliability services focused on reducing variability and inequalities and improving clinical outcomes. This multi-annual Programme will significantly reduce scheduled care waiting times across Acute and Community Services to achieve the maximum waiting times outlined within the Sláintecare report and outlined below:

HSE Dublin and North East provides health and social care to North Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan and most areas of Cavan.
HSE Dublin and North East Region includes the following hospitals;
Cavan & Monaghan Hospital’s Catchment Population of over 120,000 covering Counties Cavan & Monaghan, and parts of Counties Longford, Leitrim, and Meath. Cavan Monaghan Hospital is part of the Dublin and North East Hospital Group which covers a population in excess of 800,000.
Cavan & Monaghan Hospital provides a range of acute medical, surgical, obstetric, and gynaecological, paediatric services, day care, outpatient, diagnostic and support services. Emergency services are provided on a 365-day, 24 hour basis. Multi-disciplinary teams representative of medical, nursing/midwifery, health and social care professionals, management administration and general support staff play a pivotal role in the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of these services. Cavan General Hospital has a total in-patient bed complement of 242 and 49 day beds. Monaghan Hospital has a total of 61 in-patient beds inclusive of step-down and rehabilitation and 17 day beds. The total staff HSE complement is approximately 1279 in Cavan General Hospital and 159 in Monaghan Hospital. The hospital is affiliated to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) for medical education, to Dundalk Institute of Technology for nursing education and to University College Dublin (UCD), Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and the Institute of Technology for health and social care professional education.
This campaign is confined to staff who are currently employed by the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 as per Workplace Relations Commission agreement - 161867
Candidates must have at the latest date of application:-
(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
Have satisfactory experience in an office under the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health
agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004 at a level not lower than that of Grade IV (or equivalent)
and
have not less than two years satisfactory experience either in that office or in an office at a level not lower than that of Clerical Officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004
and
(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office.
Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
