To provide quality, client centred Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital/Louth County Hospital as directed by the Physiotherapy Manager
The HSE has created six new health regions. Each region is responsible for providing both hospital and community care for the people in that area. Bringing community health services and hospitals together means we can take a more patient-centred approach to healthcare.
HSE Dublin and North East provides health and social care to North Dublin, Louth, Meath,
Monaghan and most areas of Cavan.

The Louth Hospitals Physiotherapy Service, is an integrated service incorporating Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda (OLOLH), Louth County Hospital (LCH), and the Cottage Community Hub, with close links to Louth Primary Care Services.
Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, is a Model 3 teaching hospital, The Physiotherapy Department provides a comprehensive in-patient & out-patient service.
Specialties include Stroke, Neurology, Care of the Older Person, Respiratory, Surgery, Trauma Orthopaedics, Critical Care, Acute Medical rehabilitation, Paediatrics, Pelvic Health, ED, OPAL, Haematology and Oncology, MSK, VFAC, Vestibular COPD Outreach, and Stroke ESD.
Candidates who are graduating in 2026 are eligible to apply for this campaign.
Candidates must have at the latest date of application:
Candidates for appointment must:
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Physiotherapist by the
Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. Candidates must state CORU registration
number on application, or CORU application number and date of submission if still
awaiting registration.
AND
(ii) Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high
standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of
the duties of the office.
AND
(jii) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapist Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be
issued
(i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on Physiotherapists
Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
AND
(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the
annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of
undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate
a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
