Job Purpose

The Clinical Audit and Quality Facilitator will be required to provide and maintain comprehensive efficient and effective coordination of clinical audit within Cavan & Monaghan Hospital. This will include the requirement to support the development of a Hospital wide Audit Strategy including the implementation of IT supports for clinical audit

.

They will also participate in the advancement of the implementation of the National Standards.

(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

 

Have satisfactory experience in an office under the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory Health Agencies, or a body which provides services on bhelaf ot he HSE under Section38 of the Health Act 2004 at a level not lower than a Clerical Officer 

 

 AND

 

(b)  Candidates must posess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office.

 

 

AND

 

  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects on time that are innovative and drive improvement in a health care setting or related service.

 

AND

  •  Proven, documented experience of complex data interrogation and statistical analysis in a multi-faceted organisation including high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to deliver analytical outputs to a high standard.

                                                          

 AND

  •  Have a Clinical Understanding and Knowledge of Acute hospital Services.

   AND

 

  • A demonstrated record of supporting the delivery of change and experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

   AND

  • Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the office

AND

  • Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing Professional Development.


Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a

state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

 

Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character

 

 

POST SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must by the closing date for receipt of applications possess the following as relevant to the role:

 

  • At least two years experience of working in an acute Hospital setting.
  • Possess sufficient administrative capacity to discharge the functions of the grade
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects on time that are innovative and drive improvement in a health care setting or related service
  • A demonstrated record of supporting the delivery of change and experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholder
  • Possess sufficient knowledge of Healthcare Records Department
  • At least two years acute hospital experience
  • Management/Supervision of staff
