The post-holder has overall corporate responsibility for the finance function of Cavan and Monaghan Hospitals. 

He/she will ensure that resources are managed efficiently, effectively, and that proper financial and management accounting processes and procedures are in place. 

Candidates must have at the latest date of application: 

• Membership of a recognised or prescribed accountancy body such as ACCA, CPA, ACMA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent. 

• Relevant senior post –qualification experience in a large complex organisation with multiple stakeholders. 

• Demonstrate experience of finance and budgeting systems in a large, computerised organisation 

Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.  

Character 

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
