As a member of the front line nursing team within Cavan General & Monaghan Hospital’s, the staff nurse will deliver patient centred clinical care with respect and compassion. Provide clinical nursing leadership and ensure the provision of high quality care, consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the hospital. Displaying excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills, the staff nurse will have a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice.

1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:
Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing Board (An Bórd Altranais) and Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or be entitled to be so registered
AND
Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
Note: Post holders must maintain annual registration with An Bord Altranais
Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Post Specific Requirements
You will be required to work the agreed roster / on call arrangements advised to you by your line manager. Your contracted hours of work are liable to change between the hours of 8.00am - 8pm over seven days to meet the requirements for extended day services.
