The Clinical Placement Co-ordinator (CPC) will guide and support Pre-registration BSc Nursing Students in assigned clinical areas to ensure that the clinical placement meet the requirements of the education programme with regard to planned experiences and learning outcomes. The CPC will guide and support students from all disciplines on clinical placement in the general division as follows; General nursing, Mental Health nursing, Intellectual Disabilities nursing, Midwifery and Erasmus students.

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda is a 504 bedded acute general hospital incorporating a regional trauma orthopaedic service, a maternity unit and paediatric services. The Clinical Placement coordinator’s under the governance of Practice Development also provide cover in Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, Louth County Hospital, Dundalk, Care of the Elderly in Drogheda and Dundalk and the Hermitage, Dublin.
The nursing students who complete their clinical placements in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and the related sites are affiliated to Dundalk institute of Technology.
