Professional Qualifications, Experience etc.
- Be registered in the General Division of the live register of Nurses (Including Mental Health Nurses) (maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland)
And
- Have at least five years’ (5) post registration experience of nursing including a minimum of two years (2) experience/involvement in clinical practice management, practice development, education and/or quality improveme
And
- Have a strong background in dementia care, with experience working directly with people with dementia
And
- Hold a relevant post graduate award at level 9
And
- Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Annual Registration
- Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the appropriate / relevant Division of the register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) for the role.
And
- Practitioners must confirm annual registration with the NMBI to the HSE by way of the Annual patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
