As a member of the front line nursing team within Cavan General & Monaghan Hospitals, the staff nurse will deliver patient centred clinical care with respect and compassion. Provide clinical nursing leadership and ensure the provision of high quality care, consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the hospital.

Displaying excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills, the staff nurse will have a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence based practice. The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting. The staff nurse will provide holistic, person centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users.

Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -

1. Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc

• Have successfully completed the clinical and academic requirements of their BSc (Honours) Degree in General Nursing in September 2026 and who will be eligible for registration thereafter with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

                                            AND 

• Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role

Health
