The Staff Nurse (Mental Health) will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the relevant care setting. The staff nurse will provide holistic, person-centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users.

Candidates must have at the latest date of application:

1. Professional Qualifications. Experience. etc.

Candidates must;

a.) Be in their final year of nurse training with the expectation of receiving qualification which will enable them to be so registered in the psychiatric division of the registrar in this calendar year.

                                     And

b.) Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of  the

2. Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

3. Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
