The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of QPS priorities aligned to strategic goals Dublin and North East (DNE) including but not limited to:
- Development of the Regional Quality and Patient Safety strategic goals and operational plans and manage implementation of same across the Region, aligned with the HSE Patient Safety Strategy, the HSE National Service Plan, the National Standards for Safer Better Healthcare and other relevant strategies and standards.
- In line with Regional and National requirements ensure that appropriate governance structures are in place to support, monitor and report on the performance of quality and safety of services across the Region.
- Provide strategic leadership in delivering safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred services, and support the RCD in the continued development and enhancement of clinical governance structures to ensure robust management and monitoring of quality and patient safety across the Region
- Provide strategic oversight for the implementation of quality, safety, and service‑improvement strategies, ensuring consistent, standardised planning, execution, and performance across the Region
Collaborate with Office of HSE Chief Clinical Officer and National Quality and Patient Safety at national level, to support and enable quality and patient safety developments (including open disclosure, incident management, the management of Patient Complaints, clinical audit, data for improvement, quality improvement etc), ensuring that regional and national efforts are synchronised for effective service delivery and improvement.
